Eric Read began his IT career in 1974, programming punch-cards in Fortran and COBOL on an IBM/370. He continued in application development for a decade (C, C++), until he moved into day to day management of a VAX/VMS computer operations center.

Mr. Read moved into network operations in 1992, and as a network and security architect, provided the design and project management for many of the world’s largest Hotel/Casinos. During this time, he also consulted for multiple Casino organizations, successfully proposing new technologies for approval to the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

Mr. Read was recruited to provide audit services in 2002, and managed the 2004 Sarbanes Oxley testing for a major pharmaceutical distribution company.

Eric is presently an Associate Director of Audit, Risk Management & Compliance UnitedHealth Care, where he has managed regulatory audits and provided compliance oversight since 2005. His current duties include providing independent internal audit work and providing consulting to IT entities within the UnitedHealth Care umbrella of organizations.
